OCHYRA (POTTIACEAE), A NEW MOSS FOR IRANIAN BRYOFLORA %K Bryophytes %K Pottiaceae %K Syntrichia sinensis %K new species %K Iran %R 10.22092/ijb.2014.6161 %X Based on investigations of mosses in Iran, a new species of Syntrichia, namely, S. sinensis (Müll. Hal.) Ochyra belonging to the family Pottiaceae is found growing in W. Azarbaijan province (NW Iran) which is considered as a new report for the Iranian bryoflora. Pottiaceae is a world-widely distributed family consisting of 77 genera and nearly 1450 species showing characteristic of harsh habitats.
